Dr. Amber Abrams

 

Dr. Amber Abrams is an adult psychiatrist with a focus on adult ADHD, depression, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for undergraduate school where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She went on to attend medical school and complete psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Abrams believes in a holistic approach to psychiatry. She explores a person’s history, current situation, physical health, diet, exercise habits, strengths, and values to create a personalized treatment plan. She believes in using medication as well as psychotherapy and lifestyle changes to help achieve optimal mental health. Mental health is more than the absence of illness, it is also the promotion of wellbeing

Dr. Ashley Pettaway

Dr. Ashley J. Pettaway is a board-certified psychiatrist in both child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry, specializing in the care of youth ages 10 to 19. She takes an integrative, individualized approach that supports emotional growth, resilience, and meaningful connection—helping young people thrive both within themselves and in their relationships with others. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with adolescence, Dr. Pettaway creates a supportive and collaborative environment in which she provides developmentally informed evidence based care. To better support families, she offers enhanced availability and flexible scheduling, making it easier to access consistent, high-quality care during these critical years.
